The following statement of faith is
purposefully brief. If anyone would like more information about
our doctrinal positions, please contact the pastor.

|
We believe that .
. .
|
|
1. There is only one
true God who is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons,
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
|
| 2. Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was
born of a virgin and lived a sinless life. He was crucified for our
sins, was buried, and rose on the third day. |
| 3. The Holy Spirit is the third person in the
Trinity. He is the comforter promised by Christ. He exalts Christ. He
calls men to the Savior and effects regeneration. He convicts the world
of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He enlightens and empowers the
believer and the church in worship, service, and evangelism. |
| 4. The Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are
the divinely inspired word of God. They are the record of God's
revelation of himself to humanity. They are a perfect treasure of
divine instruction and as such, constitute the only rule of Christian
faith and practice. |
| 5. Mankind was created in the image of God and was
the crowning achievement of God's acts of creation. Man fell through
disobedience incurring both physical and spiritual death. All humanity
now has a sinful nature and are thus, objects of God's wrath. |
| 6. Salvation has been provided through Jesus Christ
for all humanity. It is the free gift of God bestowed on all those who
receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. |
| 7. Baptism and the Lord's Supper are ordinances of
the church. They are to be done in obedience to the Lord's command and
done according to the directives found in Scripture. |
| 8. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in
glory to the earth. He will judge both the living and the dead. He
will judge all humanity in righteousness. The just and the unjust shall
be raised physically and judged by Christ. The righteous unto their
reward and heaven, the unrighteous unto punishment and hell. |
| 9. It is the duty and privilege of every believer, in
response to the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20), to make disciples
of all nations. |
